about

"I'm Eighteen" was probably the first song on which Ed Fowler and I (Evan Cantor) handed our friend David Lichtenberg, soon to become Little Fyodor, a page of lyrics and instructed him to "sing". By the time we were performing it live, we had likely perfected the arrangement. "Grounded" is just an open-ended improvisation leading into the song proper. I had to switch off from the bass to the guitar in order to perform the medley. The original liner notes indicate "A never before performed tone poem segues into an old Walls of Genius favorite."
